OMG!

Just realized I am due in a month! My due date is February 26th....

Brotherly Love

The boys were playing in the kitchen with their Playmobil toys. Apparently HL suggested something not to AW's liking because I soon heard AW's signature whine/cry/yell response when something goes against what he wants. I asked AW to tell his brother what he would like in a big boy voice. And here is the next line I heard: "HL, will you please not talk!"

My Birthday/ Derby Race

Got to experience a whole new adventure for my birthday this year... The Cub Scout's Pinewood Derby Race! Hubby and HL worked hard every evening the week previous to create his car, but I was busy all evenings and didn't get to see his car until that morning. As they guard them closely to prevent any tampering, I still have yet to see it up close! But I do know that HL chose to paint it dark blue and orange- the colors of his rank, the Tiger Cubs. Both boys had a great time watching the real races and also racing Hot Wheels in the back (I am so glad they did that, it allowed AW to participate as well!). Here are my pictures of the event: It was an all day event and we didn't get home til late in the afternoon. That evening my parents took us out to dinner and then we had just enough time to play a game of cards at their place before bedtime. We played Scotch Bridge (aka Oh Hell, or Crap On Your Neighbor), which HL recently learned to play. He acts such the adult when he plays with us and it absolutely cracks me up! Not being a game player, AW built with legos and dominos at the end of the table. All in all, a nice birthday!
