Mothers Day

That's my mom, one of our many cousins, Papaw (my mom's dad) & our youngest. We had a great time celebrating Mother's day with my extended family. This year Mother's Day fell on what would have been Granny's (my Great Grandmother's) birthday, so we celebrated West Virginia style with ham hocks and beans, corn bread and raisin tarts. It sure was delicious! Our eldest picked out a nice squash for Nanny to plant in her garden. Why a squash? Your guess is as good as mine... Here are a few more photos posted on flickr.
