On that day:

In My Prayers

While I don't have anyone close to me that is active military in the Middle East, my oldest brother is over there as a civilian for the military. Despite his horrendous hours (12,14, even 16 hours a day, 7 days a week sometimes), the merciless sandstorms, the Middle East Crud (from all the petroleum in the air), the temperature, the stress, the headaches, etc, he is currently serving his third year over there. He told me once a couple years ago that despite the travails of working his Middle East job, he simply can not say no because we are doing so much good over there.

But, as all of the Middle East, it is an extremely precarious area and his life is often in danger.

I would like to remind everyone to please keep both our soldiers and civilians in the Middle East in your prayers. The hardships they face are surpassed only by the improvement they are making in the lives of those who call the area home.
